Lock down your WordPress website
You might know how to use WordPress to build your own casino website, but do you know how to make it secure?
WordPress is one of the most stable and widely adopted blogging platforms, but it's also become a target for malicious hackers who are looking for a new thrill, cracking into someone's website and destroying their data, or worse.
WordPress plugins can help secure your site. But before you install any new plugins, you should follow these two best practices that can dramatically increase your security:
1. Don't use the default account name for administrators -- When you use by the WordPress default, which is "admin," you're giving hackers half of what they need to know.
2. Use secure passwords -- If your password is easy to remember, it's probably easy to guess.
Next, we recommend using one of three plugins to ensure your site's security.
* WP-Security Scan -- If you can edit PHP and your SQL database, this plugin is a great choice
* Secure WordPress -- This one makes security easy for beginners.
* Ultimate Security Checker -- Want to know how you're doing? Use this plugin. But you might need an expert to turn its advice into action.
