Monthly Grand Tournament boosted by 50 percent
Online poker veteran Hollywood Poker has seriously upped the tournament ante on its monthly Grand Tournament offering, boosting the guarantee by a hefty 50 percent to $750 000.
Management's faith in the potential of the tournament has undoubtedly been bolstered by its growing popularity, which culminated in 846 entrants in the December event, generating a $846 000 prize pool.
The Grand is a No-Limit Hold'em freezeout with a $10 000 starting stack of chips and 30-minute blind structure. The format is a three day heat process that takes place on the last weekend of each month beginning on a Friday.
