Isle of Man hosting centre the eighth most reliable on the planet
The Isle of Man based hosting firm Netcetera cracked the bigtime this week with the news that it has made the "World's Uptime Top Ten" list in monitoring group Netcraft's assessment of its uptime, a measure of a host's stability and reliability.
A Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, Netcetera has been listed eighth most reliable web host in the world and the second most reliable in the United Kingdom by Netcraft.
“We are tremendously proud of this achievement. We work hard at maintaining a high standard and are constantly improving and upgrading our network, so it's satisfying to receive this recognition,” explained Netcetera Limited’s Chief Operating Officer, Dave Boswell.
Based on the Isle of Man, Netcetera has a new GBP 10 million tier 4 data centre offering “...the most-advanced and cost-effective facilities for housing IT infrastructure available anywhere offshore”. The facility has a 700+ rack hosting capacity and caters for approximately 28 000 servers.
Netcraft's statistics are based on the response times of 50 leading hosting providers' sites. The performance measurements are made at 15-minute intervals from separate points around the Internet, and averages are calculated over the immediately preceding 24-hour period. |
