100K weekly satellites switch focus to the world's biggest poker event
The Gibraltar-based Mansion online gambling group is building up some serious World Series of Poker steam with a change in focus on its daily $100 000 guaranteed tourneys that will make 8 WSOP main event packages available every day for the next week.
The daily $100 000 Guaranteed Tournament will be turned into the Mansion Team PokerNews Main Event Satellite – with eight of the $12 500 packages up for grabs every day.
From May 21-27, the buy-in will be the same, the times will be the same, but instead of guaranteeing $100 000 in cash, there will be eight $12 500 World Series Main Event packages guaranteed every day for the whole week, opening the WSOP door to at least 56 players.
Each $12 500 package will consist of entry to the $10 000 No Limit Holdem Main Event this July in Las Vegas, plus money for travel and expenses. Each player that wins a package will become a part of Team PokerNews – which includes benefits such as custom merchandise, invites to private team functions, and bragging rights on the PokerNews blog.
The buyin for each tournament is $100 with daily qualifiers starting from $10, and full details of the start times are available on the Mansion site.
Adding to the action packed week, Mansion and Team PokerNews have anted up for a $12 000 Added Main Event Satellite on Saturday May 26 at 17:00 EDT (21:00 GMT). Open to all players, the winner will receive a further $12 000 World Series Main Event package which will be added on top of the existing prize pool.
Mansion has invested over $5 million in overlays on its $100 000 Guaranteed Tournament project. |
